Chemical pumps keep throwing heat, pressure and corrosive fluid at the seal face, minute after minute. One face carries all of it. KSCN sits still while the shaft turns. Sized for ISO2858 and other compact chambers, rated 20 bar and 150 °C, shaft 24 to 100 mm. OEM lines use it as the single seal that stays put where a pusher would start to walk.

Why stationary, and why it matters at speed

A pusher seal spins its whole face set with the shaft. At high speed that mass fights centrifugal load and the face can walk out of seat. The KSCN keeps the faces and spring stationary in the gland, shaft turning inside. Less load to fight, the face stays put. The solid one-piece structure resists the deformation heat and cold both bring, so the face does not drop or shift when the duty swings. On bigger shafts and higher speeds that is the difference between a seal that runs and one that becomes the next breakdown.

From packing gland to cartridge, no stuffing-box rework

KSCN comes ready as a cartridge. Slide it on, set the clip, it is in. No faces and springs to stack on site, no stack length to guess. From 24 to 100 mm it lands in ISO2858 chambers and the smaller boxes. A packing gland turns into a cartridge seal without opening the stuffing box. The standard build carries an oil seal in the package, which keeps the bearing side clear of the product.

Materials matched to the fluid

Metal is not the place to save. The wetted side is 316SS throughout. Sleeve, gland, clamp ring, drive screw, circlip, clip screw. Rotary face SSIC or tungsten carbide. Stationary face Carbon, SSIC or TC, picked per the fluid. Spring in Alloy 276, the one that will not pit in corrosive service. O-rings EPR, Viton, Aflas or Kalrez, gasket AF1. The setting clip is brass. On a mild line EPR is the usual call and it is left at that. At the edge of the range the elastomer choice is what keeps the seal alive.
