FBU Delivers High-Performance Cartridge Mechanical Seal, Supporting Russian Chemical Project

In early 2024, FBU successfully customized a large-shaft-diameter mechanical seal, model XMS72, for a reactor agitator for a Russian customer. The seal is designed for a shaft diameter of 220 mm and is equipped with a bearing, cooling jacket, water chamber, and chips collector.

The delivered XMS72 seal is not merely a component replacement but serves as a high-performance alternative to the EAKTO® ESD series. Its integrated bearing significantly enhances shaft stability and extends the seal’s service life. The cooling jacket and water chamber ensure reliable operation in high-temperature environments, while the chips collector improves operational safety and environmental compliance.

After installation and commissioning at the customer’s site, the mechanical seal has been operating continuously and stably. Its exceptional sealing performance, reliability, and adaptability to demanding conditions have earned the trust and recognition of the customer. This collaboration not only demonstrates FBU’s profound capability in customizing high-end sealing solutions but also lays a solid foundation for further expansion into the international market.

XMS72 is a modular seal designed specifically for mixers and stirrers, suitable for top and side installation.Double balanced sealing ring design, with reverse pressure capability, reduces the load on the sealing end face, extends the service life of the seal, and enables the seal to work in a vacuum environment.The wear-resistant design of the shaft adopts a locking embrace to tighten the shaft instead of a set screw.The inner side can be equipped with an optional groove to prevent graphite chips from entering the kettle.Modular design, with multiple optional components to adapt to more complex working conditions.
