The 2240 series dual balance design ensures reliable and long-lasting operation of the pump under harsh conditions. Specially designed for demanding applications in the pulp and paper industry as well as pulp applications. This type of seal is commonly used for abrasive and environmentally harmful liquid pumps in pulp mill cooking, evaporation, and caustic facilities. It is designed as a pressurized double end face seal with dual balancing function, allowing it to be used as a pressure free double end face device. The 2240 seal is specifically designed for the Sulzer® AUP series pumps.

● Modular design, for harsh media conditions, used for grinding and environmentally harmful liquid pumps in pulp mill cooking, evaporation, and cauterization facilities
● Dimensions comply with Sulzer® AUP pumps, including shaft diameters of 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 90, etc.
● Seal installation does not require back plate removal and the seal is fastened with one bolt which guarantees fast trouble free installation.
● Torque transmission with super elastic devices combined with no drive pins at
seals faces. This eliminates possible start-up failures.
● Even in standard models, PTFE is used in O-ring positions where they are
exposed to the process liquid.
● The special double-balanced design allows the use of both pressurized and
non-pressurized sealant.
● Seal has an Integrated splash guard.
● Can replace JCS2.
