•Positioned by the shaft shoulder for easy installation, which reduces the risk of human error. No measurement is required during installation.
•Inlaid ring surface structure: the seal ring has no drive pin, avoiding seal face rupture during startup.

TYPICAL INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
The 2240 Series features a double-balanced design, ensuring reliable and long-lasting operation of pumps under harsh conditions. Specifically engineered for demanding applications in the pulp and paper industry as well as stock applications, this seal is typically used in pumps handling abrasive and environmentally hazardous liquids in digesters, evaporation, and causticizing facilities of pulp mills. Designed as a pressurized double mechanical seal, its double-balanced function allows it to be utilized as an unpressurized double-ended unit. The Type 2240 seal is exclusively tailored for Sulzer's AUP Series pumps.
