•Stationary compensating seal end face with balanced design, ensuring stable operation even under pressure fluctuations.
•Wave spring compensation structure: the spring is not used for stationary ring positioning, providing stable spring compensation.
•Modular design with standardized universal components, facilitating reduced maintenance costs.
•The spring is not in contact with the medium, ensuring a long service life of the mechanical seal.
•Positioned by the shaft shoulder for easy installation, which reduces the risk of human error. No measurement is required during installation.
•Inlaid ring surface structure: the seal ring has no drive pin, avoiding seal face rupture during startup.
•Seal installation does not require removing the backplate; the seal is fixed with a single bolt to ensure fast and trouble-free installation.
•No integral flush ports; seal face flushing requires using the flush ports on the Sulzer pump cover.

TYPICAL INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
The 2230 Series is a mechanical seal specifically designed for clean and lubricating fluids, such as water, various types of oils, solvents, and raw materials [consistency < 2%]. It is typically used in pumps of paper mills, cardboard mills, and power plants. Exclusively engineered for Sulzer's APP and APT Series pumps, the Type 2230 seal can be easily installed from the impeller side. It features a high-efficiency seal ring drive mechanism, as well as a self-aligning and elastically mounted thrust ring.
