How to transform the mechanical seal of the slurry pump?

Sealing scheme: PLAN 54

At present, the service life of the seal is generally 6 months, with severe wear and tear, continuous leakage of sealing water, poor surrounding environment, and high cost of replacing parts


By transforming the packing into a containerized mechanical seal, the following advantages can be achieved:

1. The amount of spare parts has decreased. Before the renovation, the commonly used sealing spare parts were 2 sets of auxiliary impeller components, packing, and shaft sleeves; After the renovation, only one set of containerized mechanical seals is required to be prepared; The entire auxiliary impeller assembly is cancelled, and there is no need to prepare the auxiliary impeller assembly;

The containerized mechanical seal has no wear on the shaft sleeve, and the shaft sleeve can be replaced at once without the need for replacement in the future; The annual spare parts cost will be reduced by more than 70%;

2. The shaft power is reduced, and the end face of the containerized mechanical seal is lubricated with liquid film, resulting in low starting torque and a shaft power consumption of 1/4 of the packing; If there isEveryone at FBU is very happy and thinks it's very meaningful no auxiliary impeller component, the motor reduces the shaft power consumed by the rotation of the auxiliary impeller component;

According to the prediction, using packing and auxiliary impeller components for sealing before renovation will consume 175200KW of electricity for each pump sealing component. After using mechanical seals, 5KW X 24 X 365=43800KW. Single pump power consumption savings: 175200-43800=131400KW 10 pumps will save: 131400KW X 10=1314000KW


Estimated industrial usage cost of 0.6 yuan/KW, direct economic benefit prediction: 1314000KW X 0.6 yuan/KW=788400 yuan3. The sewage discharge has been reduced, and after renovation, the API Plan 53A scheme is used for sealing. The cooling water is in the sealed auxiliary tank, and the leakage rate is required to be 5ml/h according to JB/T4127.1-2013 "Technical Conditions for Mechanical Seals"; The annual water consumption is: 5ml/h X 24 X 365=43.8L; The estimated amount of wastewater generated by the renovation is 5256 cubic meters per unit; The amount of sewage discharge will be reduced by 99.9%.11 pumps discharge 5256X11=57816 cubic meters of sewage, calculated based on the industrial wastewater treatment cost of 1 yuan/cubic meter, which directly leads to cost reduction: 57816X1=57816 yuan



In summary, the renovation will directly reduce operating costs by 788400+57816=846216 yuan. If the pump is to run for another 10 years, it will directly reduce operating costs by more than 10 million yuan.
